This track might not be familiar to some of you, as it has never actually appeared on an official Taylor Swift album, and, as far as I know, it was originally going to be on the Fearless album, but that I only know from another Tumblr post so please don’t take that as absolute fact, as I don’t claim to be someone who would know, at all, in any way, and I’m sorry if you expected me to. Also as a result of that the image here is not at all official, and I found it on this blog, so credit to wherever they got it from and to whoever made it, because it is far better than a lot of fan made album/single covers out there.
Personally I really like this song, but as a Taylor Swift fan, and someone with a lot of her unreleased music saved on my itunes, I may be a little biased. However, there are many different reasons as to why I like it. Firstly, to me it seems to have a slightly guilty tone to it, which is always refreshing, even though as someone who knows her music, I do realise that in no way does she always play the victim. Similarly, and as a second reason, I love hearing something new in her older style, but that’s an entirely personal thing. Finally, because I don’t want to bore you with further reasons as to why I love this song, I love the line ‘I’m acting like a girl with nothing to lose’, and the acknowledgement there, especially since the media loves to portray her like that almost 100% of the time.
I’m not going to continue with my personal reasons, as I say. However if you’re a Swift fan, especially of her older music, you should love this. If not, it’s probably not your cup of tea, but, as always, give it a go before you dismiss it, otherwise you’ll never know!
Because of the song being unreleased, I’ve tagged the tweet for this post with #taylorswift, but I haven’t @ mentioned her, respect that please.
